Airlines Serving Syracuse Airport

American Airlines was one of the first airlines to offer passenger service to and from Syracuse Hancock International Airport when the facility was opened in 1949. At the time, four airlines used the facility, but American is the only remaining carrier from the earliest days of the airport. The airline still offers flights from the airport through its American Eagle program. These flights take passengers to Chicago's O'Hare airport. These flights are operated from Gate 12 in the airport's South Terminal A.

JetBlue Airways has become one of the country's most popular airlines, and it has an important presence at the Syracuse International Airport. Passengers can use the airline to reach the destinations of Orlando, Florida and New York City's JFK airport. Travelers who fly on JetBlue use Gate 15 in Terminal A.

US Airways is one of the busiest carriers at Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The airline operates out of the South Terminal A, and it uses Gates 5 through 9. Passengers can use US Airways and US Airways Express to reach a number of destinations from Syracuse. These include Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington National, and Boston. The US Airways Express flights are operated by Air Wisconsin, Mesa Airlines, Piedmont Airlines, and Republic Airlines.

Delta Airlines offers service from Syracuse to Atlanta, but it also offers flights to Detroit, New York LaGuardia, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and New York JFK through Delta Connection. Delta uses North Terminal B at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, and it operates out of Gates 23 through 25. The flights that are offered by Delta Connection are operated by Chautauqua Airlines, ExpressJet, GoJet Airlines, and Pinnacle Airlines.

United Airlines shares North Terminal B with Delta, and it uses Gates 21 and 26. From Syracuse, United only offers flights through its United Express program. These flights take passengers to destinations like Cleveland, Newark, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O'Hare. United Express flights that use the Syracuse Airport are operated by CommutAir, ExpressJet Airlines, GoJet Airlines, and SkyWest Airlines.

Passengers who want to travel north of the American border can fly using Air Canada from Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Air Canada shares Gate 12 in the South Terminal A with American Airlines, and passengers can reach Toronto's Pearson airport using the airline. Air Canada flights from Syracuse are operated by Air Georgian.

Two major cargo carriers also use the Syracuse Airport. UPS flies to Louisville and Philadelphia. FedEx Express carries cargo to Memphis, Newark, and Burlington, Vermont.
