Miami Airport Ground Transportation

Miami International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, and is a hub for American Airlines. The airport is situated approximately eight miles from downtown Miami and serves the entire South Florida metropolitan area, including Key West and Key Biscayne.

Directions

From Sun Life Stadium, take Florida's Turnpike South ramp on your right. Toll may apply. Continue onto I-95 S and take Exit 4 towards State Road 112 W. Take the State Road 112 W ramp on your right. Follow the signs to your terminal or parking areas.

From Miami Beach, take I-195 W and continue onto State Road 112 W (Airport Expressway). Follow the signs to your terminal or parking areas.

From Downtown Miami, take State Road 836 W (Dolphin Expressway). Then take the NW 42nd Ave N exit on your right. Take the Miami International Airport ramp and continue onto NW 21st Street. Follow the signs to your terminal or parking areas.

From Coconut Grove or Coral Gables, take State Road 953 (Le Jeune Road). Then take the Miami International Airport ramp on your right and continue onto NW 21st Street. Follow the signs to your terminal or parking areas.

From the Everglades National Park, head east on State Road 9336. Take Florida's Turnpike North. Toll may apply. Take Exit 26 then take the State Road 836 E ramp. Tolls may apply. Exit on State Road 953 N to your left. Take the Miami International Airport ramp on your right and continue onto NW 21st Street. Follow the signs to your terminal or parking areas.

Ground Transportation

You can take public transportation as an alternative means to reach the airport. Metrobus provides bus service to the airport, operating out of Concourse E. You can also take Metromover, which is a free fixed-rail car service that serves the Downtown and Brickell areas. If you are traveling from other locations, the Metrorail can get you to the airport quickly and efficiently. Taxis, shared ride shuttles, and hotel shuttles are more available options.

Within the airport, you can access moving walkways called Skyride to get you to your flights more quickly and with less physical strain. Located on the 3rd level, Skyride connects the North, Central and South terminals and parking garages. Situated in the North Terminal only, the Skytrain D light rail train is available to transport you from one side of the terminal to the other.
