Houston Hobby Airport Ground Transportation

Houston William P. Hobby Airport is Houston's second-largest airport and is located approximately 10 miles from downtown. The airport serves the greater Houston area as well as neighboring cities including Baytown, Jacinto City, Galveston and Pearland. Depending on your location, there are many ways to reach Hobby Airport.

Directions

From the Houston Astrodome or the VA Hospital, merge onto I-610 E. Take exit 32A for I-45 S towards Galveston. Then take exit 39 towards Park Pl Blvd/Broadway Blvd and merge onto Gulf Freeway. Take a right turn onto Broadway Street and get on the ramp towards airport terminal and parking areas. Take a right turn onto Airport Blvd and the airport will be on the left.

From Rice University or downtown Houston, take I-45 S towards Galveston and then take exit 39 towards Park Pl Blvd/Broadway Blvd. Merge onto Gulf Freeway and take a right turn onto Broadway Street. Get on the ramp towards airport terminal and parking areas. Take a right turn onto Airport Blvd and the airport will be on the left.

From Jacinto City, take I-610 S and then exit 32A for I-45 S towards Galveston. Take exit 39 towards Park Pl Blvd/Broadway Blvd and merge onto Gulf Freeway. Take a right turn onto Broadway Street and get on the ramp towards airport terminal and parking areas. Take a right turn onto Airport Blvd and the airport will be on the left.

From Pearland, take TX-35 and head north. At Airport Blvd, take a right turn and the airport will be on the right.

Ground Transportation

Besides driving yourself, there are many ways to reach Hobby Airport. You can take the METRO bus which operates in and out of Curb Zone 13 at the airport. If you prefer to take a taxi cab, taxis operate in and out of Curb Zone 3. Some Houston hotels provide courtesy van service to drive you from the hotel to Hobby Airport. Courtesy vans can pick you up from the airport as well.

Shared-ride shuttle service is a popular and affordable method of transportation from practically any location within Houston to Hobby Airport. They require a reservation in advance. On the day of travel, the shuttle will pick you up from your home or business and drop you off at the airport. When making reservations, allow plenty of time for the shuttle to make multiple stops to pick up other travelers.
