Airlines Serving Houston Bush International Airport

Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is serviced by 17 passenger airlines that operate out of five major terminals. Over 700 flights are scheduled at IAH daily to more than 170 domestic and international destinations ranging from Atlanta to Dubai. United Airlines, one of the most popular air carrier companies in the United States, has its hub in IAH. United Airlines is consequently the airport's most active airline with flights available to all major locations at home and abroad. United Airlines also offers seasonal flights out of IAH to a variety of popular destinations including Anchorage, Tucson, Jackson Hole, Montrose, Steamboat Springs and Vail.

Terminals B, C and E are exclusively used by United Airlines. Terminal E is also used as an entry point for international travelers. All arrivals from international destinations must be processed at Terminal E's Federal Inspection Services Building (FIS). Some United Airlines flights also operate out of Terminal A along with Air Canada Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Spirit Airlines, US Airways and Frontier Airlines. Terminal D is used to handle international air carriers such as Air France, British Airways, AeroMexico, Emirates Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa German Airlines, VivaAerobus, Singapore Airlines, and TACA Airlines.

The George Bush Intercontinental Airport is best known for its diversity of air routes to Mexico and South America. In Fact, IAH offers flights to more Mexican destinations than any other airport in the United States. Many are handled by United Airlines through the United Express service, which is operated by ExpressJet Airlines. Mexican airlines AeroMexico and Aerobus also service the airport on a daily basis. Frequent flights are available to almost 30 locations within Mexico including Veracruz, San Jose del Cabo, Tampico, and Saltillo.

United Airlines services the bulk of air routes within the United States, but a few other carriers handle select domestic air routes. US Airways offers flights to Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Charlotte. Frontier Airlines service Denver, and American Eagle Airlines offers flights to Los Angeles and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. With only one active air route between London's Heathrow Airport and IAH, British Airways is one of the airport's least diverse airlines. All terminals at IAH are modern and easily accessible. Although schedules vary, most of the airport's airlines offer several flights to the same destinations on a daily basis.
