Airport Hotel Service

Grand Rapids Ground Transportation

The Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR), located in Grand Rapids, Michigan is the second busiest airport in Michigan. It has one main terminal with two concourses, and a total of 12 terminal gates. Although it is not one of the bigger airports in the country, certain forms of convenient transportation inside the airport are still available.

A shuttle bus is available 24 hours daily for passengers to travel from the economy parking lot to the passenger terminal. These shuttles can service those who use wheelchairs as well.

Skycap services are also provided, to help passengers transport their luggage from the parking lot to check-in counters. Such service is also available at the baggage claim for arriving passengers. Airlines also offer wheelchair assistance for the elderly or disabled to get to their gates to board, and to exit the aircraft. Visitors can request this wheelchair assistance service at the Visitor Information Desk, located in the baggage claim area.

Many hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport. The Hilton Grand Rapids Hotel is located just about 2 miles from the airport, on 28th Street. Guests staying at this hotel could either take the shuttle bus, or if they have rented a car it is just a short drive to the airport. They would just go west on 28th Street until they reach Patterson Road, where they will head south. They will then run into 44th Street, which is where the airport is located.
