Dusseldorf Airport Ground Transportation

The Dusseldorf International Airport has several transportation options for those who need to travel from various points in or outside the city to catch their flights.

The airport is located on the A 44 motorway. There is an exit specifically designated for the airport, so it is easy to find when traveling by car. It can also be easily accessed by train. The airport has its own train station, from which over 300 vehicles, including rail cars and street cars, stop at the rail station on a regular basis. It is possible for people to travel to the airport via train from a variety of locations around Germany, including Aachen, Essen, Bielefeld, Dortmund, Duisburg, Paderborn, Koln, Hamm, Munster, and Gelsenkirchen. This train station can be found on the eastern side of the airport.

It is also possible to use the Sky Train to travel from the terminal to the airport. The Sky Train is a cabin railway car that can take passengers back and forth between the airport and various parking lots, including the P4 and P5 garages, and the P6 parking lots.

Travelers can also get to the airport using local bus lines. The bus terminal can be located in the arrival halls. There is another bus station located at the train station for travelers to use.

Visitors who want to use a taxi to get to the airport can do this instead. Travelers will have to call the taxi company to be picked up and taken to the airport. Some of the areas commonly served by taxis include downtown Dusseldorf, the city’s Trade Show Center, the Main Railroad Station in the city, and the downtown areas of Neuss, Essen, Ratingen, and Duisburg.

It is also possible to rent a car to get to the Dusseldorf International Airport. When ready to return the car to the airport, passengers should do so in the car return centre at Car Park 3. The airport is home to Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National Alamo, and Sixt car rental companies. When traveling to the airport, car renters should follow the A 44 motorway, get off at the airport exit, and use the signs marked Abflug, or Departures, to find the car return centre.
