Airport Hotel Service

Denver Airport Ground Transportation

Visitors to the Mile High City who use Denver's public transportation system might find it easier to travel to Denver's airport by traveling first to the downtown area. This is true because the lack of direct light rail service to the airport makes it important to find the bus stops which provide direct service to the airport.

As a result, let's take a look at where visitors can catch the bus in the downtown area to travel to the airport.

Most of the bus stops that provide service to the airport are located along 15th, 16th and 17th Streets near Denver's downtown Theater and Civic Center Districts. These bus stops are useful because local Route 15-L and Denver's SkyRide shuttles make several stops along here before heading to the airport.

There are also a few bus stops located near Denver's Lower Downtown area which provide direct service to the airport. For example, there are several bus stops located close to the intersection of Broadway and Colfax in Denver's Lower Downtown area which provide service to the airport. These bus stops are useful because Local Routes 15-L and 63 and 65 make stops here before they travel to the airport.

Once you catch on to this scheme, it's easy to use Denver's public transportation system to travel to the downtown bus stops which provide direct service to the airport from any major destination in Denver. For example, if you're traveling from the University of Denver, here's how you might use the city's light rail and bus systems to travel to the airport.

1) Board a train traveling along the F-Line at the University of Denver station located at the intersection of Buchtel Boulvard and South High Street.
2) Get off the train at the Union Station terminal located at the intersection of 17th and Wewatta Streets.
3) From there, walk two blocks over to the stop located near the intersection of 17th and Union Streets to catch the SkyRyde shuttle or local 15-L bus to the airport.

Finally, if you're traveling from West Broadway, here's how you might use the city's bus system to travel to the airport.

1) Board a bus heading north on local Route 0 at the Broadway and I-25 station.
2) Stay on the bus until you've reached the intersection of 17th and Union Streets in Downtown Denver.
3) Finally, get of the bus at this stop and wait for the SkyRyde shuttle or the local 15-L bus to go to the airport.
