Dayton International Airport

Dayton International Airport (DAY) is conveniently situated north of Dayton, Ohio at the crossroads of Interstate 70 and Interstate 75. It spans roughly 4,500 acres, accommodating a one million square foot cargo and freight sorting facility, a passenger terminal building of over 366,000 square feet and three runways totaling about 4.1 miles. Because of its rapid growth since opening in December 1968, Dayton International Airport is the 3rd largest airport in Ohio. There are over 60 non-stop daily passenger flights from Dayton International Airport to 16 destinations by means of 8 airlines. Dayton International Airport, Airport Police, and Airport Parking are all open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Airport played host to over 2.5 million total passengers and over 58,000 aircraft take off and landings in 2011.

Dayton International Airport's passenger terminal building houses the Main Terminal, Concourse B, and Concourse C. The Main Terminal contains the airline reception desks, the security checkpoints, baggage claims, and auto rental counters. Also in the Main Terminal has a family restroom, an Interfaith Meditation Room, an Information Center and an ATM with postage stamps. After passengers get through the security screening area in the Main Terminal, Concourse B and Concourse C are easily accessible by stairs or elevators. Within this secure area, Concourse B, which has eight airline gates, and Concourse C, which has 12 airline gates, there is a shoe shine stand, a mail drop box, the Business Travel Center, the lost and found, an ATM, and the TSA Office. There are also several shops and restaurants in this secure area. Free Wi-Fi, flight information screens, restrooms, massage chairs, electronics charging stations, luggage carts, pay phones and vending machines can be found throughout Dayton International Airport.

There are a number of options for parking at Dayton International Airport. Long-term parking, economy parking, and valet parking are all available. Shuttles run from the long term and economy parking lots every 8 to 10 minutes. Another option is the newly added three-story parking garage with 1,400 parking spaces. The parking garage offers long and short-term parking and features heated ramps, artwork by 3rd and 4th graders from nearby schools, and elevators and stairs to the Main Terminal. Dayton International Airport also offers a cell phone lot for people picking up passengers and it is free of charge.
