Dallas Fort Worth Airport Ground Transportation

The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the United States as well as one of the three largest airports in the world. Navigating this mega-airport can be tricky, but all of the terminals, parking areas, on-site hotels and car rental agencies are accessible from International Parkway.

By Car
Travelers will arrive on State Highway 183 from the east and west and Highway 121 from the north and south. These roads are also accessible from I-635 and I-35. Passengers coming from Dallas and Fort Worth will arrive on 183 while those coming from Waco and Denton will travel in on 121 before merging onto International Parkway.

Parking at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
With approximately 30,000 parking spaces, travelers can always find a parking space near the terminals. Business travelers will also appreciate DFW’s express parking lots, which include 7,000 parking spaces with economic pricing and shuttle buses with drop-off at all five terminals. The most affordable parking option is DFW’s off-site economy lot, which offers shuttle buses, flight information and traveler services. Travelers can also take advantage of the airport’s valet parking service, which allows passenger to drop off and pickup their vehicles at the curb.

Getting Around the Airport
The DFW airport operates two complimentary systems to shuttle passengers from the parking areas to terminals and connecting flights. From parking areas, travelers can catch one of the TerminalLink vans. Passengers can complete all inter-terminal connection in minutes with the airport’s SkyLink rail system.

Rental Cars
Passengers arriving at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport can follow the rental car signs leading from the baggage claim lobby to the shuttle bus boarding area. Complimentary rental car shuttle buses arrive every 10 minutes and travel to one of the 10 rental agencies located just south of the airport entrance. Passenger shuttles are also offered for travelers returning rental vehicles.

Ground Transportation
Travelers staying at a local hotel can call a complimentary shuttle at the hotel ride directory by dialing the company’s shuttle extension or taking advantage of flat-rate shuttle service to any of the area’s major hotels. The DFW airport also offers guest assistance services to help travelers hail a cab from one of the many local operators. Public transportation options accessible from the airport include the DART bus system, which operates seven days a week, and the TRE light rail system.
