Airlines Serving Copenhagen Airport

Copenhagen Airport, Code CPH, is the principle international airport of Denmark and as such serves a wide variety of airlines. Most notably, it serves as a hub for Scandinavian Airlines. This airline is the flag ship air carrier for the countries of Norway, Denmark, and Sweden and is a top 10 carrier for passenger numbers in the Europe. The airline also operates hubs at Oslo and Stockholm with a full flight schedule serving the Scandinavian countries with additional international operations.

Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia also utilizes Copenhagen Airport as a hub and as a base of operation. Thomas Cook operates scheduled international flights but also operates as a tour or holiday airline serving destinations in Europe. Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia is part of a group of airlines managed by the Thomas Cook company. Thomas Cook Airlines also offers flight crew training facilities at the airport.

Jet Time also utilizes Copenhagen as a hub and headquarters. This airline commonly does not fly any scheduled routes but serves as a passenger and freight charter service as well as a short-term aircraft leasing service providing other airlines with aircraft and crews in times of need. Jet Time is relatively new with its first flights in 2006. As of 2011, the airline operated 12 Boeing 737 aircraft in a number of configurations.

A number of other airlines utilize Copenhagen as a hub for limited regional air service. These include Norwegian Air Shuttle and Copenhagen Air Taxi. Star Air utilizes Copenhagen as a hub for its airfreight operations.

Copenhagen Airport also serves a number of flag carriers from various countries. Aer Lingus, the Irish airline offers flights to Dublin, Air Berlin offers flights to Berlin and Dusseldorf, Air Canada provides flights to Toronto, British Airways offers flights to London and Air France offers flights to Paris, to name just a few. As a major international hub, Copenhagen has flight traffic from airlines from all corners of the world. British Airways sees the most passengers traveling outside Scandinavia with about 1.7 million passengers in 2011 traveling to or from London.
