The proximity of the airport to the city center makes it a convenient location when flights are delayed or for those wanting to experience a bit of the city when stopping over on route to other destinations. Activities within easy distance of the airport include: the Waterfront – home to several shops, restaurants, bars, movie theaters, a museum and an aquarium. There is also Green Market Square – a flea market providing authentic African crafts and handiwork that surpass the touristy intems available in many of the airport shops.
