Airlines Serving Atlanta International Airport

Delta Airlines
Headquartered in Atlanta, Delta Airline's main hub is Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) Atlanta National Airport. Delta offers direct flights from ATL to many major American cities and overseas locations in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Delta's Sky Club, with 50 locations, has its best lounge at ATL. Online reservation and check in service is available at the airline's web site.

American Airlines
Daily flights on American Airlines from ATL service major cities in the U.S. as well as many foreign locations, offering restricted fare discount tickets to Europe and Latin America. Most flights from ATL are operated by American Eagle Airlines and British Airways.

United Airlines
With its membership in the Star Alliance network, United Airlines offers a variety of destinations from ATL in conjunction with its Star Alliance partners to global destinations. United's Red Carpet Club lounge at ATL is one of the best in the system.

US Airways
US Airways flies to many domestic and international destinations from Atlanta National Airport. Its online reservation management and check in system is convenient for travelers. Many US Airways domestic flights from ATL offer Wi-Fi on board.

Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines offers the cheapest fares from Atlanta to multiple U.S. destinations, with business class fares costing less than economy fares on other airlines. Southwest offers two free checked bags for all class passengers on all flights.

Alaska Airlines
Another airline offering low cost fares, Alaska Airlines serves U.S. destinations mainly west of the Mississippi, including Hawaii, and, of course, Alaska.

AirTran
Another discount airline, AirTran from Atlanta serves many U.S. destinations as well as the Caribbean and Central America. Ticket prices are well below major airline fares and there are frequent flights. AirTran is now accepting PayPal for payment of fares.

Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines offers discount fares from Atlanta to smaller cities in the U.S., often with connections at major air hubs. Because of the low fares, demand is high and seats have to be booked well in advance of the desired travel date.

Silver Airways
Silver Airways is a regional airline offering discount rates to destinations that don't have major airports, such as Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Tupelo, Mississippi.

Spirit Airlines
Spirit Airlines flies to many U.S. destinations, the Caribbean, Central and South America from Atlanta. The number of flights to foreign destinations is, however, rather limited, often with only one flight per week to destinations like Lima, Peru.
